I'm Catherine - an instructional designer who loves transforming complex information into clear, engaging learning experiences. Curiosity drives me, creativity energizes me, and helping others grow motivates me. Outside of work, you'll usually find me painting, traveling, gardening, or spending time with my fur-babies (they think they run the house... and they're not wrong).
My Story
I was born in California and grew up on Florida's Space Coast, where shuttle and rocket launches are part of everyday life. Watching those launches sparked a fascination with exploration, innovation, and possibility - values that continue to shape the way I design learning.
A pivotal moment in my design approach came from graduate school, where I had a professor who went above and beyond to make her courses accessible for every learner. She introduced me to Universal Design for Learning, and I saw firsthand how intentional accessibility doesn't just support learners with disabilities - it elevates the experience for everyone. That experience stayed with me and ultimately led me to champion accessibility and inclusive design in eLearning.
Today, I thrive on taking complex subjects and simplifying them without losing depth or meaning. Whether it's a technical workflow or a new system, I love breaking content down into something intuitive, beautiful, and empowering - because learning should never feel intimidating.
